Giclées and Prints

Giclées are photographed with a professional scanning camera. They are printed on 310 gsm conservation grade cotton paper, with an Epson 9900 printer using archival inks. These materials have been tested by the Fine Arts Guild to resist fading and discoloration for 75 years or more. As with all fine art, a giclée should not be hung in direct sunlight or in places with temperature extremes or high humidity.

Your giclée will arrive in a mailing tube ready to frame. Some people choose to add a mat, others prefer just a frame.

Prints are photographed with a digital camera, then printed on Epson Ultra Premium Luster photo paper  paper with an Epson Pro 3880 printer using Epson Ultrachrome archival inks. This provides a high quality print with a smooth luster and bright, vivid colors. You should be able to enjoy them for many years, though not as long as the giclées described above. A print should not be hung in direct sunlight or in places with temperature extremes or high humidity.

Your 8”x 10” print will be mounted in an archival quality mat and backing, ready for you to drop into any 11”x 14” frame. Print and mat will be sealed in a clear bag and mailed to you in a protective package.

Giclées and prints look so good some people prefer to have them professionally framed, like the picture above.
